How Long To Find Gold: Most people find gold in their first or second pan.

Size of gold

Small flakes, fines (larger than flour gold), occasional nuggets.
Largest nugget found by panners: 4.6 gms (thumbnail size).

Equipment

Panning and rocker boxes on site. Guests may use their own mini-sluices on a limited basis, but only in old tailings and at the owner's discretion.

Suction dredges are not allowed due to environmental regulations.
