Discover Gold!

There is gold yet to be discovered on Hunker Creek. Yes, much of the easy gold was mined 100 years ago, but visitors today still find flakes and nuggets of the precious metal.

Your search for gold will be on placer gold claims known as 31 to 38 Above Discovery. These are claims that are numbered 31 to 38 from above, or upstream, of the Discovery Claim on Hunker Creek.

Pan gravel from the creek, work newly opened ground that has not been mined since the Klondike Gold Rush!! Tailings piles from paydirt poorly mined in the early years still hold treasures of gold. These are yours to pan and sluice by rocker box. We want you to experience the thrill of discovering gold and cherish the memory. Remember, whatever gold you find is yours to keep.
